For the record and to establish provenance of art I have already created also: these sketches are part of an on-going series of art I created since year 1991 but it "blossomed" in 2006 beginning in Aurora, Colorado when I lived there for one year, from May 2006-May 2007  when I lived through trauma caused by my then-husband DBP who tried to kill me.  When I had surgery to correct fractures and was immobile for about 8 months, I practiced drawing and painting and improved.  I also created the series of art that is named "ethnic series" there.  I moved from Aurora to zip code 80203 for 2 /12 years and then moved to Missouri on Oct 31, 2009 with the art I had in my possession at that time. I paint some of the sketches I created  in do-overs into oils on canvas and those are very visible on the web. I put many of them on my mini exhibit of art at https://mini-exhibition.blogspot.com, and also on my Picasa albums at https://picasaweb.google.com/gloriapoole.  I, Gloria Poole, am a white, Southern Baptist Christian, woman with brown hair and the natural mother of two children who are grown married daughters named Jennifer and Leigh; and I am a  single-again, twice-divorced, republican, personhood promoter, prolife activist-blogger, photographer, artist in all mediums, poet, author, illustrator, cartoonist, writer, University of Georgia alumna, U S citizen born in the state of Georgia [but I lived in several places including New York, UK briefly, Nebraska, South Carolina, Colorado, Virginia, North Carolina], former TV producer,tweeter, Registered Nurse licensed in Missouri [but before that in Georgia, UK, other states]  and citizen journo . Gloria Poole is my real, born with legal name and I resumed it legally by Court order at the time of divorce from male DBP in Colorado in Oct, 2007 in Centennial, Colorado; and I also removed the Pappas name from my name forevermore at the time of final decree . I was glad to end that four year horrible marriage of multiple trauma and injuries to me caused by male DBP, [which I testified about in Court on several occasions ].  That second divorce is public record in the state of Colorado, and my first divorce is public record in the state of Georgia. I have created art regularly since 1991, and I had formal training in drawing and in mixing colors /paint and painting in oils.

Real Women Have Babies

 by Gloria Poole, RN, artist of Missouri and Georgia

Real women have babies;

yes they do.

They use their ovaries

and eggs

and mix them with sperm

the usual way

in their womb

and plant them there

in the soft cushy nest

of their inner part

and they water them

and they feed them every day

and watch with tender care

their every move,

and every bite

and every social contact

to avoid germs

and pollutants

and evil.

They watch their bellies grow

Big.

And bigger.

And biggest.

Til their sides pop

and stretch marks appear

and they feel as if

they will scream

from the weight

on their ribs and spine

and the pressure on their bladder.

But then,

suddenly,

nature takes its course,

and the laboring begins,

laboring to push baby

into the world,

alive and well,

and screaming lustily,

with outrage at,

being shoved through

a tiny channel,

into the very cold,

not 98 point 6 ,

from human body warmth,

And into the hands of sometimes

 barely grasping ,

a wriggling, screaming baby.

And then.

O, my!

Then, motherhood instinct kicks

into overdrive,

And she sees her baby.

Her precious tiny reproduction

of herself and her man.

And her heart,

 swells with joy,

and love,

til she feels

it will burst.

And she's overcome,

with emotion,

and love,

for her husband,

and for her baby

and relief.

Relief with a capital R.

Relief:  her baby is born!

Relief:  her baby is alive!

Relief:  her baby is breathing!

Relief:  her baby is proof,

that she is a,

WOMAN.

I adore my grandchildren.
